Oregon Coast Wildlife
Over a long weekend in August my boyfriend and I went out to Florence area along the Oregon Coast for a camping trip. Originally we were set to go to the Sisters area, an area we both are eager to explore, however due to the fires in that area the campsite wasn't safe so we rerouted to the coast instead. Hopefully next spring we can make it out there before dry season hits in the summer.
It was a short trip full of campfires, good food, as much hiking as my body would allow, and plenty of time with the sand between our toes. Due to some fun and unexpected wildlife sightings I'm eager to spend more time in this section of the coast. We were able to watch some otters play in the river that leads to the ocean which was so special and LA even pointed out a dragonfly that flittered off only to land a few feet from where we saw it and posed kindly for me to get the stellar shot that I did! Wildlife photography is one of the lesser explored avenues that I've dipped my toes in but probably the one I'm most excited about as I continue down the ever evolving road of photography.
Where are your favorite areas to watch wildlife or go camping?
